+81 STUDIO & GALLERY – BROOKLYN CLOSING PARTY!!!

08/15/2014

163 Plymouth Street Brooklyn, NY 11201
Closing Party: August 15th 8-11pm

On Friday, August 15th from 8-11pm, +81 Gallery hosts a final event at its DUMBO gallery featuring media-based artists and two live DJ sets, curated by Chris Romero. The one-night exhibition, which places emphasis on projections as a mode of display, is presented in a BYOB format. The “Bring Your Own Beamer” is initially created by Rafaël Rozendaal and it is a series of one-night-exhibitions hosting artists and their projectors. In light of this, the exhibition is a fun and experimental event – one that says farewell to +81’s DUMBO space and looks forward to the upcoming fall season in the Lower East Side.

Artists include: Vanessa Thill, Sam McCord, Johann Diedrick, Kaitlin Till-Landry, Sarah Rothberg, Mack Howell, Carla Gannis, Faith Holland, Kyung Hee Jwa, Raa Santana, Youngbum Kim, Melissa F Clarke and two DJs Manda Works and Toshio Masuda of La Big Vic.
