Simon and Joe Hollier. A snapshot of their recent focuses, the exhibition emphasizes the artists' dedication to hand crafted techniques with hand-drawn type, collage, illustration, and painting. Hollier inputs and outputs popular culture into idiosyncratic expressions, while Simon often creates a visually dynamic experience utilizing the preexisting structures such as storefronts. Simon is a sign painter, designer and typographer in Brooklyn, NY. He has worked with Bon Appetit, Lululemon, Converse. His work is often derived from traditional sign painters, skateboard and bike culture and an overall respect for the hands-on old school methods. Travis’ exhibitions include the Lexington Armory show, Red Bull Studios NYC, and Harbor Gallery. Joe Hollier is a multi-disciplinary artist from Brooklyn. He studied design at the School of Visual Arts. Joe works as a freelance lmmaker, designer, director and artist.
